Marriage Mentor Discussion

"Married couples must also play a primary role alongside priests and religious. The preparation of couples for marriage is a true work of evangelization, and the lay faithful, especially married couples, receive an equally important call as religious and ordained ministers to participate in the Church’s evangelizing mission: they are pastoral workers. Because of their unique experience, they can offer concrete support along the journey of accompaniment by intervening as witnesses and companions of couples, both before and during marriage, regarding many aspects of married life... and family life"

Please join us to discuss the possibility of incorporating marriage mentors into our diocesan process of forming engaged couples for the Sacrament of Matrimony. We will look at how mentors fit into the Church's vision of formation. Your insight and experience will be valuable, but you will not be obligated to become a marriage mentor.
