Director, Office of Family, Youth, & Young Adult Evangelizationdsousadpvd.orgDennis Sousa is a native of Scituate, Rhode Island. He currently serves as the Director of the Office of Family, Youth, and Young Adult Evangelization at the Diocese of Providence.
Before his position with the Diocese of Providence, Dennis served as the Director of Faith Formation for Saint Philip Church in Greenville, a role he held for almost twelve years. Additionally, Dennis has significant experience in finance and construction and served in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger Medic.
Dennis is a disciple of Jesus Christ who is passionate about the mission of the Church to evangelize. He is also a faithful husband and father. He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 22 years. Their daughter Grace is attending Benedictine College, KS.
Dennis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Theology from Providence College. Dennis is also completing a Master of Arts in Catechetics and Evangelization through Franciscan University of Steubenville.
