Edward Trendowski, Ph.D. was born and raised in Syracuse, NY as the oldest of six children. He currently serves as the Director of Faith Formation for the Diocese of Providence. He first began working with the Diocese of Providence in 2012 as the Coordinator for Catechetical Resources. Edward gives talks for the diocesan Marriage Preparation program, catechist trainings, and other adult faith formation events. He has also served in parish life as an RCIA coordinator and a catechist. Additionally, Edward teaches theology courses at the graduate level.
Edward has been married to his wife Breanne since 2007 and they have seven children. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading Catholic books, teaching, saltwater fishing, gardening, and other time spent outdoors.
He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in French from Hartwick College in Oneota, NY. At first, not drawn to studying Theology, Edward discerned that God was calling him to go back to school and purse a Master’s Degree in Theology, which he received from St. Joseph College of Maine in the Online Program. He then continued his education at the Catholic University of America, receiving a Ph.D. in Catechetics in 2021.
